Montair Plus Tablet contains two active ingredients that work in different ways to manage asthma:

• Bambuterol (10 mg): This component is converted in your body to an active form, terbutaline. As a selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist, bambuterol binds to and activates beta-2 receptors in your lungs. This action leads to the relaxation of the bronchial smooth muscle, dilation of airways, and increased airflow. Thanks to its prolonged action, bambuterol allows for once-daily dosing.

• Montelukast (10 mg): This ingredient selectively binds to the cysteinyl leukotriene receptor CysLT1 in your airways and lungs. It competitively blocks the binding of leukotrienes LTC4, LTD4, and LTE4 to this receptor. Leukotrienes, released from mast cells, eosinophils, and basophils during allergic reactions, cause airway oedema, smooth muscle contraction, and increased mucus secretion. By blocking leukotriene effects, montelukast reduces inflammation and prevents airway constriction.

• Store Montair Plus Tablet at normal room temperature.
