Modlip ASG 20 Capsule is used for the following:

• Treating peripheral arterial disease, which affects blood vessels outside the heart and brain.

• Preventing ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA), conditions where the blood flow to the brain is temporarily reduced.

Modlip ASG 20 Capsule contains two primary ingredients:

• Aspirin (75 mg): This ingredient operates by irreversibly inhibiting an enzyme called cyclooxygenase in your body, which blocks the production of thromboxane A2. This substance usually encourages platelet aggregation and vasoconstriction. By reducing platelet aggregation, aspirin helps prevent the formation of blood clots that could potentially block arteries and cause heart attacks or strokes.

• Atorvastatin (20 mg): This component is a lipid-lowering agent that functions by inhibiting the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase. This enzyme is crucial in the production of cholesterol in the liver. By reducing the synthesis of cholesterol, atorvastatin effectively lowers the levels of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides in your blood. It also mildly increases the levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, which is known as "good" cholesterol.
