Minym Gel is used for the following:

• Managing inflammatory lesions of non-nodular moderate to severe acne vulgaris: This condition is common and characterised by the presence of comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), papules, pustules, nodules, and cysts.

• Reducing bacterial growth in acne vulgaris: Minym Gel inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, which helps control the spread of acne-causing bacteria on the skin.

• Controlling inflammation in acne vulgaris: The gel possesses anti-inflammatory properties, which help reduce swelling and redness associated with acne.

To use Minym Gel properly, follow these steps:

• First, cleanse your face gently with a mild cleanser. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

• Apply a pea-sized amount of gel to each area of your face (forehead, chin, nose, each cheek) and spread it evenly across your skin.

• Ensure you cover your entire face, not just individual spots or blemishes.

• Lastly, wash your hands thoroughly after applying the gel.

Minym Gel is applied topically.

Minym Gel contains Minocycline (40 mg), which acts on your body in the following ways:

• Inhibition of Bacterial Protein Synthesis: Minocycline binds to a part of bacterial cells known as the 30S ribosomal subunit. This prevents a process called protein synthesis – where proteins are created – from progressing properly and thus inhibits bacterial growth.

• Store Minym Gel at room temperature below 25°C.
