Contractubex Gel is used to treat scars from surgeries, injuries, burns or acne, helping reduce redness and excess scar tissue while improving skin texture and elasticity over time.

Uses of Contractubex Gel are:

• Surgical and Injury Scars: Helps smoothen and soften scars following surgery or injury.
• Burn Scars: Improves the texture and appearance of scars caused by burns.
• Acne Scars: Reduces redness and unevenness left behind by acne scarring.
• Hypertrophic and Keloid Scars: Helps reduce excess raised scar tissue.

Here's how to use Contractubex Gel:

• Ensure the scar area is clean and dry before application.

• Apply a thin layer of the gel to the scar as directed by the doctor.

• Massage gently until the gel is fully absorbed.

• If dealing with a larger scar or harder scar tissue, consider using an occlusive dressing overnight after applying the gel.

Contractubex Gel is applied topically.

Contractubex Gel contains three active ingredients that work together to manage scar formation:

• Cepae Extract Fluid (0.1 G): Extracted from onions, this ingredient helps reduce hypertrophic scar formation by inhibiting fibroblast proliferation and collagen production. Its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, owing to constituents like quercetin and sulfur compounds, further aid in scar management.

• Heparin Sodium (50 IU): As an anticoagulant with anti-inflammatory properties, heparin sodium inhibits collagen formation, enhances collagenase activity, and regulates cytokine-mediated inflammation during wound healing which helps prevent excessive scar formation.

• Allantoin (0.01 G): This component promotes cell proliferation and wound healing. It's known for its keratolytic properties that help soften and smooth out scar tissue by enhancing the water content of the extracellular matrix.

• Store Contractubex Gel at a safe room temperature, ideally between 15-30°C.

• Keep the gel tube tightly closed when not in use to avoid exposure to air.

• Protect the tube from direct sunlight and heat, which might affect its efficacy.

• Always keep it out of reach of children for their safety.

• Make sure to discard any unused gel six months after the first opening.

• To support the action of Contractubex Gel in managing scars, maintain a balanced diet rich in vitamins C and E which are known to promote skin healing. These nutrients can be found in foods like oranges, strawberries, almonds and spinach.

• Regular moderate exercise can improve circulation, which is beneficial for wound healing. However, avoid strenuous activity that might strain or stretch healing scars.
