Mefkind-P Suspension can interact with medications including: 

• Corticosteroids such as prednisolone: Caution is advised due to the potential for increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding when mefenamic acid is used concurrently with corticosteroids.
• Blood thinners such as warfarin: Concurrent use may increase the risk of bleeding.
• Other NSAIDs such as aspirin: Concurrent use with mefenamic acid may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and ulceration.
• Antiplatelet medicines such as clopidogrel: Caution is warranted as concurrent use with mefenamic acid may increase the risk of bleeding due to potential additive effects on platelet function.
• NSAIDs such as diclofenac: Concurrent use may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and ulceration.
• Antihypertensives such as atenolol: Concurrent use may diminish the antihypertensive effects of atenolol.
• Antiarrythmics such as digoxin: Mefenamic Acid may increase digoxin levels in the blood.
• Quinolone antibiotics: Concurrent use may increase the risk of seizures.

• Crohn’s disease: Mefenamic Acid may worsen symptoms of Crohn's disease, increasing the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and inflammation.
• Liver diseases: Caution is required as mefenamic acid may exacerbate liver damage or impairment in individuals with liver diseases.
• Kidney diseases: Mefenamic Acid may worsen kidney function or exacerbate existing kidney conditions.
• Heart diseases: Caution is advised as mefenamic acid may increase the risk of heart attack or stroke, particularly in children with pre-existing heart diseases.
• Peptic ulcer: Mefenamic Acid may worsen peptic ulcer symptoms and increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Systemic lupus erythematosus: Caution is required as mefenamic acid may exacerbate symptoms of systemic lupus erythematosus.
• Epilepsy: Mefenamic Acid may increase the risk of seizures.

The recommended dose of Mefkind-P Suspension should be given to your child as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as the severity of the condition and response to treatment. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and not exceed it without consulting your doctor

If your child takes an excessive amount of Mefkind-P Suspension by accident, it is essential to take immediate medical attention from your doctor or nearby hospital in case your child experiences severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms. Symptoms of an overdose include headache, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, rarely diarrhoea, and disorientation.

If you forget to give Mefkind-P Suspension give it as soon as possible. If the time for the next dosage is close, skipping the missed one is recommended and resume your regular dosage routine. Never increase the dosage without the doctor’s knowledge.
