Mefast 100 Suspension is used to manage mild to moderate pain from various causes and to reduce fever. It also helps relieve symptoms of arthritis and other rheumatoid conditions in adults and children.
It contains mefenamic acid, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). This oral suspension is useful for those who find it difficult to swallow tablets or capsules. Take it as prescribed, preferably with food, to reduce the chance of stomach upset, and shake well before each use.
Staying well hydrated and getting adequate rest can help support recovery while managing pain or fever. Applying a warm compress may also help ease menstrual cramps.
Before taking this medicine, tell your child's doctor if you have any stomach ulcers, kidney, liver, or heart problems, or are taking other medicines, including blood thinners. It is not recommended during the last trimester of pregnancy. Report any black stools or unusual bruising.
