Mahaflox Eye Ointment Mahaflox Eye Ointment is used to manage bacterial conjunctivitis and other localised infections of the eyelids and conjunctiva. It helps clear infection and relieve associated redness, irritation, and discharge.
It contains moxifloxacin, a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic. Apply a small amount of the ointment into the affected eye as prescribed, typically at night for prolonged contact with the eye surface. Continue using it for the full course, even if your symptoms improve early.
Wash your hands before and after applying the ointment, avoid touching or rubbing the eye, and avoid sharing towels or pillowcases while the infection is active. Do not wear contact lenses until your doctor confirms it is safe to do so.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor about any known allergy to fluoroquinolone antibiotics or other eye medicines you are using. Avoid driving or operating machinery immediately after application, as the ointment may cause temporary blurred vision, and consult your doctor if irritation persists.
