Losanorm 25 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure in adults
• Reducing the risk of stroke in patients with high blood pressure and left ventricular hypertrophy, a condition where the heart's main pumping chamber enlarges and thickens
• Helping people with type 2 diabetes and a history of high blood pressure protect their kidneys, a condition known as diabetic nephropathy
• Lowering high blood pressure to prevent heart attacks, kidney problems, and strokes

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid breaking the tablet into pieces.
• You can take this medicine with or without food.
• Make sure to take the medicine at the same time each day to maintain consistent levels in your body.
• Don't stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.
• Remember, it's important to follow your doctor's advice on how often you need to take this tablet.

The active ingredient in Losanorm 25 Tablet 10 is losartan (25 mg). The action of this medicine on the body can be summarised as follows:

• Angiotensin II Blocker: Losartan works by blocking the action of a chemical in your body called angiotensin II. Normally, this chemical causes your blood vessels to narrow, increasing blood pressure.
• Vessel Relaxation: Losartan blocks angiotensin II, helping your blood vessels relax and widen. This makes it easier for your heart to pump blood throughout your body.
• Reduction in Heart Workload: Relaxed and widened blood vessels make the heart work less hard to pump blood, reducing blood pressure and straining the heart.

• Store Losanorm 25 Tablet 10 at room temperature, below 30°C.
• Avoid exposing the medication to direct light or moisture.
• Keep the medicine in the original packaging until it's time to take it.
• Ensure it is kept out of reach and sight of children.

• Avoid processed foods, canned soups, and salty snacks to limit salt consumption. Aim for less than 2,300 mg of sodium per day.
