CompositionLefra-10 Tablet is used to manage active rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis in adults. It is a single-ingredient disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) containing leflunomide.
It helps slow the disease, reduce joint damage and ease morning stiffness, joint pain and swelling. Take it with or without food, at the same time each day, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. It may take several weeks or months to feel the full benefit.
Gentle, low-impact exercise and a healthy body weight can reduce strain on the joints. Limit alcohol, as the liver is monitored closely during treatment.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any liver problems, infections or high blood pressure, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. This medicine can seriously harm an unborn baby, so reliable contraception is essential, and a special washout treatment may be needed before trying to conceive. Attend regular liver and blood-count tests, and report yellowing of the skin, unusual bruising or signs of infection. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
