Lefra-10 Tablet is used for the following conditions:

• Inhibits Dihydroorotate Dehydrogenase: Leflunomide works by blocking your body's enzyme called dihydroorotate dehydrogenase. This enzyme plays a vital role in synthesising pyrimidine ribonucleotide uridine monophosphate (rUMP), which is required to grow and reproduce rapidly dividing cells.

• Reduces Inflammation: By inhibiting this enzyme, leflunomide effectively interferes with the production of DNA and RNA, essential for rapidly dividing cells such as activated T lymphocytes involved in rheumatoid arthritis. This action reduces inflammation and helps manage symptoms.
