It contains leflunomide 20mg, a DMARD. Swallow the tablet whole; do not break, crush, or chew it. Take it at the same time each day as prescribed. Clinical benefits typically become apparent over several weeks to months of consistent use.
Attending all liver function, blood pressure, and blood count monitoring is essential. Report any unusual symptoms, particularly signs of liver involvement such as yellowing of skin or eyes, promptly.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any history of liver disease, hepatitis B or C, high blood pressure, or serious infections. Effective contraception is essential during treatment and for an appropriate period after stopping for both women and men. Do not become pregnant while taking this medicine. Speak to your doctor before stopping, as a washout procedure may be needed.
