Lamitor OD 100 Tablet is used to manage epilepsy and prevent seizures. It contains lamotrigine, from a class of medicines known as anticonvulsants, and stabilises electrical activity in the brain, helping to control both focal and generalised seizures.
Lamotrigine works by steadying abnormal electrical signals in the brain, which reduces the frequency of seizures, and this once-daily formulation is designed to provide steady levels of the medicine through the day.
Take this tablet daily at the same time each day, with or without food, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and never change your dose without medical advice.
Tell your doctor immediately if you develop a rash, especially in the first eight weeks of treatment, as this can rarely be a sign of a serious reaction needing urgent medical attention. Do not stop this medicine suddenly, as this can trigger seizures.
