Lacosam 50 Tablet is a medicine used to control partial-onset seizures and primary generalised tonic-clonic seizures in adults and adolescents with epilepsy. It helps stabilise electrical activity in the brain to reduce the frequency and severity of fits.
It contains lacosamide, an anti-epileptic drug. Take it as prescribed with or without food. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, as abrupt withdrawal can cause your seizures to return or increase in frequency.
Maintaining a regular sleep schedule, avoiding alcohol, and keeping a seizure diary to track any triggers can provide useful supportive care alongside your anti-epileptic treatment.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have heart rhythm conditions, severe kidney problems, or a history of depression or mood changes. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience unusual changes in mood or vision.
