Lacoset 50 Tablet is used in adults and children aged 4 years and older to control focal-onset seizures and prevent abnormal electrical surges in the brain.

• Focal Seizure Management: Helps reduce the frequency of focal-onset (partial) seizures in adults and eligible children.

Here's how to take Lacoset 50 Tablet properly:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing, chewing or breaking the tablet.

• Don't stop taking your medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, as this could worsen your condition.

Lacoset 50 Tablet contains lacosamide (50 mg), which works in the following ways:

• Enhances Slow Inactivation of Sodium Channels: Lacosamide selectively enhances the slow inactivation of voltage-gated sodium channels in your body. These channels play a crucial role in the transmission of signals in your nerves.

• Stabilises Neuronal Membranes: By enhancing the slow inactivation of sodium channels, lacosamide stabilises hyperexcitable neuronal membranes. This means it helps calm overactive nerve cells in your brain.
