Lacoset 50 Tablet is used to manage and control focal-onset (partial) seizures in adults and children aged 4 years and older with epilepsy. It helps reduce the frequency and severity of seizures, supporting daily activities with greater confidence and safety.
It contains lacosamide, an anti-epileptic medicine. Take it as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. It is important to take it regularly at the same time each day to maintain steady levels of the medicine in your body. Do not stop taking it suddenly, as this may cause seizures to return or worsen.
While taking this medicine, avoid alcohol, as it may increase drowsiness and dizziness. Your doctor will guide you on any activity restrictions, such as driving, while your seizures are being assessed and controlled.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any heart rhythm problems, kidney or liver disease, or if you are taking other medicines. Mood changes or suicidal thoughts are a rare but important side effect reported with anti-epileptic medicines; contact your doctor immediately if you notice any changes in mood or behaviour.
