Lacoset 50 Tablet is an anti-epileptic medicine used to manage and control focal-onset (partial) seizures in adults and children aged 4 years and older with epilepsy. It helps reduce the frequency and severity of seizures, supporting daily activities with greater confidence and safety.
It contains lacosamide, which helps stabilise abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Take it as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. It is important to take it regularly at steady intervals each day. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, as abrupt withdrawal can cause seizures to return or worsen.
Maintain a regular sleep routine and avoid excessive fatigue or high stress levels, as these can trigger seizures. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medicine, as it can increase drowsiness and dizziness.
Before starting treatment, tell your doctor if you have any heart rhythm problems, severe kidney disease, or liver impairment. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience unexpected changes in mood, worsening depression, or thoughts of self-harm while taking this medicine.
