Contraindications

• The medication is not recommended in patients with a known allergy to Lacosamide and severe hepatic and renal conditions.

Other Medications to Avoid

• Lacosamide may interact with various medications, including HIV treatments like atazanavir and saquinavir, opioid pain relievers such as buprenorphine, and anticancer medicines like ceritinib. It may also interact with medications used to prevent nausea and vomiting from chemotherapy, such as dolasetron, as well as anesthetic agents like ketamine. Additionally, medicines for multiple sclerosis, including ponesimod and siponimod, and medications for managing muscle weakness episodes, such as sodium oxybate, may also be affected. Always inform your doctor about any medications you are taking to avoid potential interactions.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of this medication may cause symptoms like dizziness, blurred vision, and nausea. If you observe these symptoms, inform your doctor and follow the advice accordingly.
• If you forget to take this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. But avoid repeating the dose.
