It contains latanoprost, a prostaglandin analogue. It is used directly into the affected eye as advised by your eye specialist, usually once daily in the evening. Continue using the eye drops regularly as prescribed, even if your vision feels fine, because high eye pressure often causes no symptoms.
Good eye hygiene is important during treatment. Wash your hands before applying the drops, avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or skin, and remove contact lenses before application, waiting at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of eye inflammation, dry eyes, or previous eye surgery. Inform your eye doctor immediately if you develop an eye infection or injury during treatment. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
