Lacoma Pf Bak Free Eye Drops 2.5Ml

LACOMA PF BAK FREE EYE DROPS 2.5ML is prescribed for:

• Open-angle glaucoma
• Ocular hypertension

• Wash your hands thoroughly before application.
• Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
• Instil one drop into the affected eyes once daily in the evening.
• Close your eyes gently and avoid blinking for a few minutes.
• Apply gentle pressure to the inner corner of the eye for one minute to minimise systemic absorption.
• If using more than one topical eye preparation, maintain an interval of at least 5 minutes between applications.
• Remove contact lenses before use and reinsert them after 15 minutes.
• Do not allow the dropper tip to touch any surface to prevent contamination.

LACOMA PF BAK FREE EYE DROPS 2.5ML contains the following components:

• Latanoprost (0.005%): It is a prostaglandin F2α analogue that increases the outflow of aqueous humour through the uveoscleral pathway, thereby reducing intraocular pressure. The onset of action begins approximately 3–4 hours after administration, with peak effect seen at 8–12 hours.
• Potassium Sorbate (0.47%): It is a preservative agent that helps maintain sterility and stability of the ophthalmic solution, reducing the risk of microbial contamination.

• Store between 2°C and 25°C.
• Protect from light.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
• Discard as per manufacturer’s instructions after opening.
• Keep out of reach of children.

• Attend regular ophthalmic check-ups to monitor intraocular pressure.
• Maintain a balanced diet rich in antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids to support eye health.
• Limit excessive caffeine intake.
• Practise proper eye hygiene and avoid rubbing the eyes.
• Take regular breaks from prolonged screen exposure.
