Latios Eye Drops 2.5ml are used to reduce raised pressure inside the eye in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Lowering the pressure helps protect the optic nerve and prevent the loss of vision that high eye pressure can cause over time.
It belong to a group of medicines called prostaglandin analogues, which lower eye pressure by improving the drainage of fluid from the eye. The drops are usually put into the affected eye or eyes once a day in the evening, as directed by your doctor, and are used regularly to keep the pressure controlled.
Some general measures can help alongside this medicine. These include pressing gently on the inner corner of the eye after putting in the drops, and attending regular eye checks so the pressure and your vision can be monitored.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor about any eye conditions or previous eye surgery, or other medicines you take. This type of medicine can gradually darken the eyelid skin and the coloured part of the eye, and change eyelash growth. Tell your doctor about eye pain, marked redness, or changes in vision.
