Ivabrad OD 10 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing stable angina pectoris in adults who are unable to use beta-blockers

• Controlling chronic heart failure in adults with symptoms rated as class II to IV by the New York Heart Association

• Reducing high heart rate in adult patients experiencing heart failure with systolic dysfunction, when their heart is in sinus rhythm and the heart rate is 75 bpm or above.

Here's how you should take Ivabrad OD 10 Tablet:

• Avoid breaking, chewing or crushing the tablet.

• It is not advisable to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

• In case you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Remember not to double up on doses.

Ivabrad OD 10 Tablet is taken orally.

Ivabrad OD 10 Tablet contains ivabradine (10 mg) which works on the body as follows:

• Selective Inhibition of the Funny Channel (If): Ivabradine selectively inhibits the funny channel (If), a key pacemaker current in the sinoatrial node, which is your heart's natural pacemaker.

• Reduction of Heart Rate: By inhibiting the funny channel (If), ivabradine effectively reduces the heart rate, both at rest and during exercise.

• Decreased myocardial oxygen demand: A lower heart rate leads to decreased demand for oxygen by the heart muscles.

• Improved Coronary Blood Flow: Reduced heart rate also improves the flow of blood in the coronary arteries, supplying your heart with oxygen-rich blood.

• Store Ivabrad OD 10 Tablet at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

• The medicine should be protected from moisture and light.

• It is crucial to keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date and do not use the medicine if it has passed this date.

• If you live with angina or chronic heart failure, a heart-healthy diet is key. Aim to eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and limit your intake of saturated fats and salt.
