Coralan Od 10mg Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treating stable angina pectoris

• Managing chronic heart failure

• Reducing the frequency of angina attacks

• Decreasing the heart rate in patients with an elevated heartbeat

• Improving heart function in chronic heart failure

• Alternative therapy when beta-blockers cannot be used

• Reducing the oxygen demand of the heart

Follow these instructions while taking Coralan Od 10mg Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet as it is an extended-release formulation.

• Take this tablet orally with meals at the same time each day.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly as prescribed by your doctor.

• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

Coralan Od 10mg Tablet 10 contains ivabradine (10 mg), which works on the heart in the following ways:

• I(f) Current Inhibition: Ivabradine selectively blocks the funny current I(f), an important electrical current and the heart's natural pacemaker. This action slows down the heart's rhythm in a controlled manner.

• Heart Rate Reduction: This medicine lowers the heart rate without affecting other cardiac parameters by inhibiting the funny current. This reduced heart rate helps decrease the heart's oxygen demand.

• Cardiac Efficiency: The medicine improves the efficiency of your heart by allowing more time for the heart chambers to fill with blood between beats, which is particularly beneficial in heart failure patients.
