Histakind Suspension is used to provide relief from symptoms of both seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing and a runny nose. It is also effective for managing chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives) and itching. By alleviating these symptoms, it helps improve the comfort and quality of life for individuals affected by these conditions.

Your child should be given Histakind Suspension according to these steps:

• Shake the bottle well before each use.

• Measure out the exact amount as advised by your doctor using a spoon or cup.

• Give your child the medicine as recommended by the doctor.

• If your child is due to take any other oral liquids, give them Histakind Suspension first, wait a few minutes, then give the other liquid.

Histakind Suspension is given orally.

Histakind Suspension contains fexofenadine hydrochloride (30 mg per 5 mL), which acts on the body in the following ways:

• Selective Antagonism of Peripheral H1 Receptors: Fexofenadine selectively blocks peripheral histamine H1 receptors. Histamine is a chemical messenger released by the body during allergic reactions, causing inflammation and typical allergy symptoms.

• Non-Sedative Effect: Unlike some first-generation antihistamines, fexofenadine does not have significant sedative effects on the central nervous system. This means that it manages allergy symptoms without making you feel drowsy or sluggish.

• Store Histakind Suspension at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.

• Protect it from light and moisture to maintain its efficacy.

• Always keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

• Keep it out of reach of children for safety reasons.

• To help manage your child's allergic symptoms, try to identify and avoid common allergens in their environment such as dust mites, pet dander, and pollen. Regular cleaning can help reduce these allergens at home.

• Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids. Hydration can thin the mucus in your child's nasal passages and may provide relief from a runny or clogged nose.
