Gluconorm G 0.5 Tablet is used for management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, improving glycaemic control when monotherapy with either glimepiride or metformin is not sufficient.

Gluconorm G 0.5 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Glimepiride (0.5 mg): A sulfonylurea which stimulates insulin secretion from your pancreas' beta cells. The way it works is by binding to a specific receptor on these cells, leading to a series of biochemical reactions that result in insulin release. This helps reduce blood sugar levels.

• Metformin (500 mg): A biguanide that enhances how your body responds to insulin.
