Febutax 80 Tablet is a medicine used to treat gout by lowering elevated uric acid levels in the blood. By keeping uric acid levels low, it prevents uric acid crystal deposition in joints, reducing the frequency of painful gout flares and joint damage.
It contains febuxostat, a xanthine oxidase inhibitor. Take it as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking it during an acute gout flare unless advised by your doctor.
Dietary measures like limiting high-purine foods (red meat, organ meat, seafood), avoiding alcohol, drinking plenty of water, and maintaining a healthy body weight support uric acid control.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any heart problems, liver or kidney disease, or thyroid disorders. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience chest pain, sudden breathlessness, or a severe skin rash.
