Eurepa-1 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults.

• Controlling high blood sugar levels to prevent complications.

• Lowering the risk of kidney damage due to uncontrolled diabetes.

• Preventing nerve problems associated with high blood glucose.

• Reducing chances of diabetes-related blindness.

• Decreasing the risk of limb amputations from severe diabetic complications.

• Avoiding sexual dysfunction caused by unregulated diabetes.

• Lessening the likelihood of cardiovascular incidents like heart attack and stroke.

When taking Eurepa-1 Tablet, follow these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, do not crush or chew it.

• Consume this medicine 15 to 30 minutes before each main meal, as per your meal pattern.

• If you skip a meal, do not take an extra dose to compensate.

• Always consult your doctor for specific guidance regarding dosage and frequency.

Eurepa-1 Tablet is taken orally.

Eurepa-1 Tablet contains Repaglinide (1 mg), which has the following actions on your body:

• Increases Insulin Secretion: Repaglinide stimulates your pancreas to produce more insulin which leads to lowering of blood glucose levels.

• Acts on Pancreatic Beta Cells: The medicine works by closing ATP-dependent potassium channels found in pancreatic beta cells causing them to depolarise. This action results in opening calcium channels.

• Induces Insulin Secretion: The increase in intracellular calcium within these cells subsequently induces insulin secretion. This process is dependent on glucose levels and diminishes as blood glucose levels normalise.

• Store your Eurepa-1 Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 20°C to 25°C.

• Keep it protected from moisture, so avoid damp places like bathrooms.

• Store it in a tightly closed container to keep it safe from air and light exposure.

• Always remember to keep it out of reach of children.

• Ensure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• It's beneficial for you to follow a balanced diet low in sugar and saturated fats, as this can help manage blood glucose levels, complementing the action of Eurepa-1 Tablet.

• Regular physical activity is also crucial. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise like brisk walking or cycling daily. This helps in maintaining optimal blood glucose levels, improving the effectiveness of your medication.
