CompositionETRIK P Tablet is used to relieve moderate to severe pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and dental procedures. It combines etoricoxib, a COX-2 inhibitor, with paracetamol.
Etoricoxib selectively blocks the COX-2 enzyme responsible for producing the chemicals that cause pain and inflammation, while paracetamol adds further pain and fever relief, together relieving pain and reducing swelling more effectively than either alone.
Take this tablet with or without food, at the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed, exactly as your doctor prescribes.
Tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, or a history of stroke, as COX-2 inhibitors can increase cardiovascular risk with prolonged use. Do not exceed the prescribed dose, since paracetamol overdose can seriously damage the liver.
