• Managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) which causes acid reflux and symptoms like heartburn.

• Assisting in the healing of peptic ulcers in the stomach and duodenum.

• Controlling excessive acid production caused by Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a condition linked to pancreatic or duodenal tumours.

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or open the capsule.

• To ensure effective absorption, take this medicine at least 30 minutes before a meal.

• Always follow your doctor's advice regarding the duration and dose of the medicine.

Esoprazole-DSR Capsule is taken orally.

Esoprazole-DSR Capsule contains following two components:

• Domperidone (30 mg): As a dopamine antagonist with antiemetic and gastroprokinetic properties, domperidone helps in increasing motility in your upper gastrointestinal tract. This action speeds up gastric emptying—emptying the contents of your stomach—and aids in preventing reflux. In addition, it obstructs dopamine receptors in an area known as the chemoreceptor trigger zone, reducing feelings of nausea and vomiting.

• Esomeprazole (40 mg): This component is a proton pump inhibitor that suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting an enzyme system found on gastric parietal cells called the H+/K+ ATPase system. By blocking this system, esomeprazole effectively reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach.

Together, these ingredients provide comprehensive control of GERD and ulcer symptoms, improving gastric motility to prevent reflux and decreasing acid production for symptom relief and healing of the oesophagus and stomach.

• Avoid late-night snacking or meals close to bedtime as this could exacerbate symptoms related to GERD and peptic ulcers. Standing or sitting upright for at least three hours after eating can assist in managing your condition.
