Esiflo 250 Transcaps is used for the long-term maintenance treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults and adolescents. It is a combination medicine containing fluticasone propionate (a corticosteroid) and salmeterol (a long-acting bronchodilator).
When used regularly, it helps prevent asthma attacks, wheezing and breathlessness. Inhale the contents of the capsule through the recommended inhaler device in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Continue it even when you feel well.
Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after each use to lower the risk of oral thrush. Avoid tobacco smoke, air pollution, cold air and allergens that trigger your symptoms.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have tuberculosis, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes or a thyroid disorder, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. This medicine does not relieve a sudden asthma attack, so keep your reliever inhaler with you for sudden breathlessness. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop using the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
