Forair 250 Respicaps are used for the long-term maintenance treatment of asthma and COPD in adults, to control symptoms, improve breathing and reduce the risk of flare-ups. It is not meant for sudden breathing attacks. It contains fluticasone propionate and salmeterol.
It is a combination medicine for inhalation containing a long-acting bronchodilator and an inhaled corticosteroid. Use it regularly as prescribed with the appropriate inhaler device; the capsule is for inhalation only and must not be swallowed.
Rinsing the mouth and gargling with water after each use helps prevent a fungal mouth infection alongside this medicine. Using a spacer device, if recommended by your doctor, can also help improve how well the medicine reaches your lungs.
Tell your doctor about any heart conditions or diabetes before starting, and about other medicines you take. Keep a short-acting reliever inhaler for sudden symptoms, and carry it with you at all times. Report a sudden worsening in breathing after using this inhaler.
