Enclere 500/500 MG Injection 1 is administered intravenously or via an intramuscular route.

Enclere 500/500 MG Injection 1 contains two active components:

• Cefoperazone (500 mg): As a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, this ingredient works by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall. It targets and deactivates penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located within the bacterial cell wall. These PBPs are crucial for linking peptidoglycan chains, providing strength and rigidity to the bacterial cell wall. The bacterial cell wall weakens by inhibiting PBPs, leading to cell lysis or destruction.

• Sulbactam (500 mg): It plays a crucial role as an irreversible inhibitor of beta-lactamases produced by bacteria resistant to beta-lactam antibiotics. By neutralising these beta-lactamases, sulbactam enhances the activity of cefoperazone against many bacteria that would otherwise be resistant.

• Store your Enclere 500/500 MG Injection 1 vials below 25°C away from direct light.

• After reconstituting the injection, you can keep it for 24 hours at room temperature or for 7 days in your refrigerator between 2-8°C.
