Qtern 5mg/10mg Tablet is used for the following:

• Improving blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus

• Helping adults with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors to reduce the risk of hospitalisation due to heart failure

• Assisting in the reduction of sustained decline of eGFR, end-stage kidney disease, cardiovascular death and hospitalisation for heart failure in adults with chronic kidney disease at risk of progression

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing, cutting or chewing the tablet.

• It's important not to stop taking this medicine without first consulting your doctor.

Qtern 5mg/10mg Tablet is taken orally.

Qtern 5mg/10mg Tablet contains two active ingredients which work together to control blood sugar levels:

• Dapagliflozin (10 mg): This SGLT2 inhibitor increases glucose excretion in urine. It does this by inhibiting glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, which helps reduce high blood sugar levels.
