Symbicort 320/9mcg Turbuhaler 60mdi is used for the regular management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults. It helps control breathing symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness over the long term.
It contains budesonide, an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation, and formoterol fumarate, a long-acting bronchodilator that keeps the airways open. It is a combination inhaler containing an inhaled corticosteroid and a long-acting beta2-agonist (LABA). Use it exactly as prescribed, and rinse your mouth with water after each use to reduce the risk of oral thrush. This inhaler is not meant for sudden relief of an asthma attack; keep a fast-acting reliever inhaler with you for that purpose.
Avoiding known triggers such as smoke, dust, and strong smells, along with regular chest check-ups, can help keep symptoms under control alongside this medicine.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor about any heart problems, high blood pressure, other respiratory conditions, or other medicines you take. Continue treatment for the full duration prescribed, even if your symptoms improve, as stopping too early can cause symptoms to return.
