CompositionEcosprin Gold 10 Capsule is used to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke and other serious heart events in adults with heart disease or after heart procedures such as bypass surgery. It is a combination medicine containing aspirin and clopidogrel, two antiplatelet medicines, and atorvastatin, a statin.
This medicine helps prevent blood clots and lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop it without medical advice, as stopping can sharply increase the risk of heart attack or stroke.
Quitting smoking, eating a diet low in saturated fat, staying active as advised and limiting alcohol, which can raise the risk of stomach bleeding, support treatment alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have bleeding problems, a stomach ulcer or liver disease, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Tell your doctor or dentist that you take this medicine before any procedure. Report black or bloody stools, vomiting blood, unusual bruising or unexplained muscle pain promptly. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
