This action leads to decreased hepatic cholesterol production, resulting in an increase in LDL receptor expression on hepatocytes, which aids in clearing LDL from the blood.

The active metabolite selectively and irreversibly inhibits the binding of ADP to the P2Y12 receptor on platelets, thereby preventing ADP-mediated platelet activation and aggregation.
• Aspirin (75 mg): This component irreversibly hinders the action of platelet cyclooxygenase-1 in your body. By doing so, it blocks the production of thromboxane A2 and prevents platelets from clumping together.
