Lipitab Gold 10 Capsule 10 is used for:

• Preventing heart attacks in individuals with high-risk factors such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol
• Lowering the recurrence of heart attacks and strokes in those with a history of these conditions
• Boosting HDL cholesterol levels in patients with primary hyperlipidemia or mixed dyslipidemia

Lipitab Gold 10 Capsule 10 consists of three active ingredients:

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): It competitively inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, a crucial enzyme involved in cholesterol formation within your body. This action leads to decreased hepatic cholesterol production, resulting in an increase in LDL receptor expression on hepatocytes, which aids in clearing LDL from the blood.
• Clopidogrel (75 mg): This is a medicine that needs to be transformed into an active metabolite by the liver via CYP2C19.
