Doxivent Lb Capsule 10 is used to treat bacterial infections affecting the respiratory tract, urinary tract, intestines, eyes, and skin. It is effective in managing conditions such as acne, rosacea, and certain sexually transmitted infections, and also helps prevent antibiotic-associated diarrhoea by maintaining gut balance.

To use Doxivent Lb Capsule 10 properly, follow these steps:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the capsule.

Doxivent Lb Capsule 10 comprises two active ingredients:

• Doxycycline (100 mg): This antibiotic accumulates within the bacteria, attaches itself to a specific part of the bacterial ribosome known as the 30S subunit and stops bacterial protein synthesis. This action inhibits the growth and multiplication of bacteria, effectively controlling the infection.
• Lactobacillus (5 B): Lactobacillus, being a probiotic, helps restore the natural balance of gut flora. It aids in breaking down food, which leads to the production of lactic acid and other substances that make the gut environment less favourable for harmful bacteria. This healthy balance of gut flora aids in managing antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.
