Ventokast LC Syrup is used to manage allergic rhinitis and may be used as an add-on treatment in children with asthma linked to allergies. It relieves symptoms such as sneezing, a runny nose, and nasal congestion.
It contains levocetirizine, an antihistamine that blocks the substances causing allergy symptoms, and montelukast, which helps reduce inflammation in the airways. Give it only under medical supervision, at the dose your child's doctor sets for your child.
Simple measures support treatment. Where possible, help your child avoid allergy triggers such as dust and pollen, and keep living areas clean and well ventilated.
Before giving this medicine, tell your child's doctor about your child's existing conditions or other medicines. Report any unusual mood or behaviour changes, as these can occur with montelukast, and report concerns such as headache or nausea promptly.
