Pantovent DSR Capsule is used to relieve acid reflux, heartburn and stomach ulcers, and to ease nausea and a feeling of fullness after eating. It contains pantoprazole, which reduces the amount of acid your stomach produces, and domperidone, which helps the stomach empty food more quickly.
This capsule is usually taken before a meal and should be swallowed whole, without chewing or crushing it. Take it as prescribed, and continue the full course even if your symptoms improve early, as stopping too soon can allow acid-related irritation to return.
Avoiding spicy, fatty or acidic foods, eating smaller and more frequent meals, and not lying down soon after eating can help reduce acid reflux alongside this medicine. Limiting caffeine, alcohol and smoking may also ease symptoms.
Tell your doctor before starting this medicine if you have any liver problems, heart rhythm disturbances, or are taking other medicines, as domperidone can occasionally affect heart rhythm. Report any irregular heartbeat, palpitations or fainting to your doctor promptly.
