This medicine helps the stomach empty more smoothly and reduces the feeling of sickness. The dose depends on your child's body weight, so measure it exactly with the dropper provided and give it as prescribed by the doctor, usually before feeds. Use it for the shortest time possible and do not give more than prescribed.
Offering small, frequent feeds, keeping your child upright during and after feeds, and giving fluids in small sips can help reduce vomiting and prevent dehydration.
Before giving this medicine, tell the doctor if your child has a heart rhythm problem, liver disease, or a bowel blockage, and about any other medicines your child takes, as some can increase the risk of heart rhythm problems. Seek medical help straight away if your child has a fast or irregular heartbeat, fainting, unusual movements or stiffness, excessive sleepiness, or signs of dehydration such as fewer wet nappies, a dry mouth or unusual drowsiness. Do not stop giving this medicine unless the doctor advises you to do so.
