Domstal Suspension 30ml

Domstal Suspension is used in children to relieve nausea and vomiting caused by delayed stomach emptying, and to ease related digestive discomfort.

Uses of Domstal Suspension are:

• Nausea and Vomiting: Relieves nausea and vomiting linked to stomach upset or medicines.
• Indigestion: Eases bloating and discomfort caused by delayed stomach emptying.
• Feeding Discomfort: Helps relieve feeding discomfort associated with delayed stomach emptying.

Administer Domstal Suspension to your child as follows:

• Shake the bottle well before use.

• Measure the exact quantity recommended by your doctor using a measuring cup or spoon.

• Follow your doctor's instructions regarding the dosage and duration of use for Domstal Suspension.

• Always consult your doctor for specific advice on giving this medicine to your child.

Domstal Suspension is given orally.

Domstal Suspension contains Domperidone (1 mg). Here's how it works:

• Enhances Gastrointestinal Motility: Domperidone acts on the part of the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts directly on the stomach and upper intestine, speeding up the passage of food through the stomach into the intestine, which physically helps prevent vomiting.

• Antiemetic Action: By blocking certain dopamine receptors in the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ), located just outside the blood-brain barrier, Domperidone prevents nausea and vomiting signals from reaching the vomiting centre in your child's brain. This action helps manage feelings of sickness (nausea) and stops your child from being sick (vomiting).

• Keep Domstal Suspension at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

• Protect the medicine from light and moisture.

• Store it in a cool place, away from your child's reach.

• If your child is experiencing nausea or vomiting, bland foods such as rice or bananas might be easier on their stomach.

• Give your child small sips of water frequently to avoid dehydration, especially if diarrhoea accompanies the vomiting.
