Dibeta Sr Tablet 10 may interact with the following medicines:

• Some heart and water medicines, such as digoxin and amiloride: These medicines can raise the level of metformin in your body, which increases the risk of side effects, including a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis. Your doctor may monitor you more closely.
• Medicines such as cimetidine and amiloride, and some other medicines cleared by the kidneys: Taken with metformin, these medicines can increase the risk of lactic acidosis, a rare but serious build-up of acid in the blood. Tell your doctor before combining them.
• Surgery, or an X-ray or scan using contrast dye: The contrast dye can temporarily affect how well your kidneys work, which increases the risk of lactic acidosis. Your doctor may advise temporarily stopping metformin before or after certain contrast-dye procedures, depending on your kidney function.

Dibeta Sr Tablet 10 may interact with the following foods:

• Very high-fat meals: They can slow how the medicine is absorbed. Take with or after meals to reduce stomach upset.

Dibeta Sr Tablet 10 may interact with the following diseases:

• Severe kidney or liver problems, heart failure, or a build-up of acid in the blood (such as diabetic ketoacidosis): These conditions increase the risk of lactic acidosis, a rare but serious build-up of acid in the blood. Tell your doctor, as Vidmet SR 500 Tablet may not be suitable or may need closer monitoring.

Always take Dibeta Sr Tablet 10 exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dose depends on your blood sugar and response and may be adjusted over time. Do not change or stop it on your own.

Taking more Dibeta Sr Tablet 10 than prescribed can cause stomach upset and, rarely, a serious problem called lactic acidosis (severe weakness, muscle pain, breathing difficulty). Seek medical attention urgently.

Take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as normal. Do not take two doses together.
