Deco Eye/Ear Drops is a combination medicine used to treat bacterial infections of the eyes and ears that are accompanied by inflammation. It helps clear bacterial growth while soothing discomforting symptoms such as redness, swelling, itching, and discharge.
It contains chloramphenicol 1%, an antibacterial medicine, and betamethasone 0.01%, a corticosteroid; phenylmercuric nitrate 0.002% is included as a preservative. Instil the exact number of drops into the affected eye or ear as prescribed by your doctor. Maintain clean hands before application and complete the recommended course without stopping early.
Practice proper eye and ear hygiene. Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface including your fingers, eye, or ear. Avoid wearing contact lenses while treating an active eye infection, and avoid swimming or allowing water into the ear canal during ear treatment.
Before using these drops, inform your doctor if you have glaucoma, viral or fungal eye/ear infections, or a perforated eardrum. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe eye pain, vision changes, or worsening ear discharge. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
