CTD AZ 12.5/40mg Tablet is primarily used to manage hypertension, also known as high blood pressure. It is a combination medicine belonging to a group called antihypertensive agents, combining a diuretic with an angiotensin receptor blocker. It contains azilsartan medoxomil and chlorthalidone.
The diuretic component helps the kidneys remove excess salt and water, while the angiotensin receptor blocker relaxes blood vessels, together lowering blood pressure more effectively than either medicine alone.
Take this tablet daily, with or without food, at the same time each day as your doctor prescribes.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, and your doctor may check your blood salt levels and kidney function periodically during treatment. Do not stop this medicine suddenly without medical advice, and tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy.
