Cosvate Sor Ointment 15gm

Cosvate Sor Ointment 15gm is used for managing the following conditions:

• Plaque psoriasis (mild to moderate)
• Scaling and thickened psoriatic lesions
• Skin inflammation and itching associated with psoriasis

Use Cosvate Sor Ointment 15gm in the following way:

• Ensure the affected area is clean and dry before application.
• Apply a thin layer of the ointment to the affected area.
• Gently rub until it is evenly spread.
• Wash hands after application unless the hands are being treated.
• Avoid applying this medicine on the face, groin, underarms, or broken skin unless advised by your doctor, as these areas are more prone to irritation and skin thinning. 
• Do not cover the treated area with airtight dressings or bandages unless advised by your doctor, as this may increase absorption of the corticosteroid.
• Use as directed by the doctor and do not exceed the recommended duration.

Cosvate Sor Ointment 15gm is applied topically.

Cosvate Sor Ointment 15gm contains the following active components:

• Calcipotriol (0.005%): It is a vitamin D analogue that regulates skin cell production by slowing down excessive proliferation, thereby reducing scaling and plaque formation.
• Clobetasol propionate (0.05%): It is a potent corticosteroid that suppresses inflammatory and immune responses in the skin, reducing redness, swelling, and itching.

• Store below 25°C in a cool and dry place.
• Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Keep the tube tightly closed.
• Keep out of reach and sight of children.

• Maintain a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats.
• Keep the skin well moisturised to reduce dryness and irritation.
• Avoid triggers such as stress, smoking, alcohol, and excessive sun exposure.
• Use mild, fragrance-free skincare products.
• Engage in regular physical activity to support overall health.
