Cosart-H Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing hypertension: The medicine helps in controlling high blood pressure.

• Lowering blood pressure when single therapy is insufficient: If your blood pressure is not adequately controlled by either hydrochlorothiazide or losartan alone, Cosart-H Tablet can help.

• Preventing serious complications of untreated hypertension: This includes potential issues like heart attacks, strokes, and kidney failure.

Here's how to take Cosart-H Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush it.

• Don't stop taking the medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Cosart-H Tablet is taken orally.

Cosart-H Tablet's effectiveness comes from two active components:

• Losartan (50 mg): This is an angiotensin receptor blocker. Its job is to block angiotensin II, a substance that can cause blood vessels to narrow. By preventing this narrowing, losartan helps to lower blood pressure.

• Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg): As a thiazide diuretic, hydrochlorothiazide works on your kidneys. It increases the excretion of sodium, chloride, and water from your body. This leads to a reduction in the volume of your blood, which in turn helps to decrease your blood pressure.
