Losakind H Tablet 10

Losakind-H Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure, also known as essential hypertension

• Reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke associated with untreated hypertension

• Slowing down the progression of kidney disease in patients with type 2 diabetes

• Decreasing the risk of stroke in individuals with left ventricular hypertrophy, a condition where the wall of the heart's main pumping chamber becomes thickened

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Do not exceed or reduce your prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Remember, it's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Losakind-H Tablet is taken orally.

Losakind-H Tablet consists of two active ingredients:

• Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg): This component is a type of medicine known as a thiazide diuretic. It operates on your kidneys to increase the production of urine, which in turn helps your body get rid of excess water and salt. This action results in a reduction in your blood volume, which effectively lowers your blood pressure.

• Losartan (50 mg): Classified as an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), Losartan functions by blocking the action of a hormone called angiotensin II. This hormone typically causes your blood vessels to narrow, raising your blood pressure. By inhibiting its action, Losartan allows your blood vessels to stay relaxed and open, which improves blood flow and reduces your blood pressure.

• Store the Losakind-H Tablet away from direct light or moisture.

• Keep it at room temperature, ideally below below 30°C.

• Always ensure the bottle is tightly closed when not in use.

• Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Don't use the Losakind-H Tablet after its expiry date.

• Limit your salt intake. This is beneficial as Losakind-H Tablet is primarily used to manage high blood pressure, and a low-salt diet can contribute to better blood pressure control.
