Clop S 6 Ointment 20gm is used to manage moderate to severe skin conditions such as psoriasis, stubborn eczema, dermatitis, and thickened skin patches caused by lichen simplex chronicus or lichen planus. It may also be used in conditions such as palmoplantar psoriasis or pustulosis when prescribed by a doctor.

Here's how you should use Clop S 6 Ointment 20gm:

• First, ensure the area of skin you need to apply the ointment to is clean and dry.
• Using your fingertip or a clean cotton swab, gently apply the ointment to the affected area.
• Your doctor will prescribe the amount needed based on factors such as the size of the affected area.
• Rub the ointment gently and completely into your skin, covering the whole affected area with a thin layer.
• After applying, wash your hands thoroughly to prevent any possible spread of infection.

Clop S 6 Ointment 20gm contains two active ingredients:

• Clobetasol propionate (0.05%): As a potent topical corticosteroid, clobetasol propionate helps calm inflammation and itching by interfering with the body's natural inflammatory response. It does this by blocking key steps in the process that lead to the production of inflammatory chemicals.
• Salicylic acid (6%): Acting as a keratolytic agent, salicylic acid softens and loosens dry, scaly skin. It works by dissolving the cement that holds epithelial cells together, increasing the moisture content of the top layer of skin (stratum corneum). This enables better penetration of clobetasol into the skin.

• Store Clop S 6 Ointment 20gm at room temperature in a dry, cool place.
