Clobicort S 6% Ointment 30gm is used for managing skin conditions like:

• Moderate to severe forms of skin conditions that respond to corticosteroids
• Psoriasis, except for widespread plaque psoriasis
• Stubborn eczema or dermatitis, which does not respond to other treatments
• Thickened skin patches due to lichen simplex chronicus or lichen planus
• Palmoplantar psoriasis, or pustulosis, characterised by thick, scaly lesions on the palms and soles

Here's how you should use Clobicort S 6% Ointment 30gm:

• First, ensure the area of skin you need to apply the ointment to is clean and dry.
• Using your fingertip or a clean cotton swab, gently apply the ointment to the affected area.
• Your doctor will prescribe the amount needed based on factors such as the size of the affected area.
• Rub the ointment gently and completely into your skin, covering the whole affected area with a thin layer.
• After applying, wash your hands thoroughly to prevent any possible spread of infection.

Clobicort S 6% Ointment 30gm contains two active ingredients:

• Clobetasol propionate (0.05%): As a potent topical corticosteroid, clobetasol propionate helps calm inflammation and itching by interfering with the body's natural inflammatory response. It does this by blocking key steps in the process that lead to the production of inflammatory chemicals.
• Salicylic acid (6%): Acting as a keratolytic agent, salicylic acid softens and loosens dry, scaly skin. It works by dissolving the cement that holds epithelial cells together, increasing the moisture content of the top layer of skin (stratum corneum). This enables better penetration of clobetasol into the skin.

• Store Clobicort S 6% Ointment 30gm at room temperature in a dry, cool place.
• Keep the ointment tube tightly closed when not in use to prevent air exposure.
• Keep it out of the reach of children.
