Lozivate S Ointment 30Gm

Lozivate-S Ointment is used for the following:

• Managing moderate to severe plaque psoriasis: Plaque psoriasis is a skin condition that causes red, flaky, crusty patches of skin covered with silvery scales.

• Managing corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses: These are skin conditions that respond well to steroid medication.

• Controlling hyperkeratotic, dry, scaly skin conditions: Hyperkeratotic conditions involve thickening of the skin.

Apply Lozivate-S Ointment as suggested below:

• Before application, make sure that the affected skin area is clean and dry. You can use soap and water to wash the area, then pat it dry with a clean towel.

• Apply a thin layer of the ointment to the affected area using your fingertip or a clean cotton swab. The amount needed will depend on the size of the affected area.

• Gently massage the ointment onto the skin until it's fully absorbed.

• Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the ointment to prevent spreading any infection.

Lozivate-S Ointment contains two active ingredients that work together to manage skin conditions:

• Clobetasol Propionate (0.05%): This is a potent corticosteroid that binds to specific receptors in your skin cells. These receptors then reduce the production of certain chemicals that cause inflammation, redness, and itching on your skin.

• Salicylic Acid (6%): Classified as a keratolytic agent, salicylic acid works by dissolving the 'glue' that holds skin cells together. This action leads to the shedding of scales and the softening of hardened skin patches or plaques. Salicylic acid also enhances the penetration of clobetasol into the skin, increasing its effectiveness.

• Keep Lozivate-S Ointment in its original tube, ensuring it is tightly sealed when not in use.

• Store at room temperature.

• Avoid exposure to direct light and moisture.
