Cipro 250 MG Tablet 10 is used to treat bacterial infections affecting the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, gastrointestinal system and genital tract. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing ciprofloxacin, and belongs to a class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones.
This medicine works by stopping bacteria from multiplying and repairing themselves, which helps control the infection and reduce related symptoms such as fever and inflammation. Take this medicine in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor, and complete the full course even if you start to feel better.
Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medicine, particularly if you have a fever or diarrhoea, to stay well hydrated.
Tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, tendon issues, or other medicines you are taking, before starting this medicine. Avoid taking antacids or dairy products close to your dose, as they can reduce its absorption. Report any unusual muscle pain, tendon pain or allergic reaction to your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
