CompositionCip-TZ Tablet is used to treat various bacterial and parasitic infections, including urinary tract infections, respiratory infections and gastrointestinal infections. It combines ciprofloxacin and tinidazole to effectively clear mixed infections.
Ciprofloxacin stops bacteria from copying their genetic material, killing them, while tinidazole works similarly against anaerobic bacteria and certain parasites, together clearing mixed bacterial and parasitic infections.
Take this tablet as your doctor prescribes, preferably with food to reduce stomach upset, and complete the full course even if you begin to feel better.
Avoid exposure to bright sunlight, as ciprofloxacin can increase sensitivity to UV light, and avoid alcohol during and for at least 48 hours after treatment. If you develop tendon pain or swelling during treatment, stop the medicine and contact your doctor promptly.
