Cifran CT Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat mixed bacterial and protozoal infections, particularly infections of the gut and reproductive tract in adults. It contains ciprofloxacin, an antibiotic, and tinidazole, which acts against protozoa and certain anaerobic bacteria.
Take this tablet exactly as prescribed, and complete the full course even if you start to feel better, to help fully clear the infection. Drink plenty of fluids during treatment. Avoid alcohol completely while taking this medicine and for at least two days after finishing it, as it can cause an unpleasant reaction with tinidazole.
Avoid excessive sun exposure while taking this medicine, as ciprofloxacin can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Use sunscreen and protective clothing if you need to be outdoors, and stay well hydrated to support recovery from the infection.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any liver, kidney, or neurological conditions, including epilepsy. Tell your doctor if you notice tendon pain or swelling, numbness or tingling, or persistent nausea during treatment. It should not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy or while breastfeeding unless your doctor advises otherwise.
