Cifran CT Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat mixed bacterial and protozoal infections, particularly gastrointestinal and gynaecological infections.
It contains ciprofloxacin, an antibiotic, and tinidazole, which acts against protozoa, certain parasites and anaerobic bacteria. Take it exactly as prescribed, and avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least two days after finishing it.
Drink plenty of fluids and complete the full course to help fully clear the infection. Avoid excessive sun exposure while taking this medicine, and avoid alcohol completely, as it can cause an unpleasant reaction with tinidazole.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any liver, kidney or neurological conditions, including epilepsy. Tell your doctor if you notice tendon pain, numbness or tingling, or persistent nausea during treatment. It should not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy or while breastfeeding unless prescribed by your doctor.
