CompositionCILIX T 10/40 Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It combines telmisartan, an angiotensin receptor blocker, with cilnidipine, a calcium channel blocker.
Telmisartan relaxes and widens blood vessels by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows them, while cilnidipine relaxes blood vessel muscle directly, and together the two medicines ease the strain on the heart more effectively than either alone.
Take this tablet as prescribed at the same time each day, with or without food, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and continue even if you feel well, since high blood pressure often has no symptoms.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy, as this combination is not suitable in pregnancy. Have your kidney function and blood salts checked periodically, and tell your doctor if you notice swelling of the ankles, dizziness, or an unusually fast heartbeat.
